I created this challenge because I noticed that I felt disconnected from my feelings. It was almost as if I was watching my life go by on a TV screen. It wasn't until I learned how to regulate my nervous system that I was able to feel my experience more deeply. It seemed scary to me at first, the prospect of "feeling my feelings", but what I found was that it far more beautiful than scary. Slowing down enough to feel helped me to let love in and notice the deep beauty that was all around me. If you're someone that feels like life is going by quickly, and that it's hard to slow down and feel it, this challenge is for you. The best part is, each meditation is only 20 minutes or less. Small practices, when done consistently, make a huge difference. I also encourage you to participate in the supportive Meditation Challenge Community Group. Do this challenge at your own pace, and start to feel the love seeping in! This challenge is friendly for the mindful-curious who may not have the attention span for sitting cross-legged on the floor in silence. Throughout these 7 days, you will explore different meditation modalities that are outside-the-box, soothing to the mind, and engaging. This challenge is perfect for anyone who wants to regulate their nervous system and may or may not have trouble sitting still (because same here). This challenge is a sampler of different types of meditation, so if you choose to make meditation a routine habit, you can repeat the modalities you like best.
